Color Me Dreaming Baby Blanket Set

What kid doesn’t love a box of crayons. So let this blanket be their first exposure so they can ‘Dream in Color’. The bold primary (red, yellow, blue) & secondary colors (green, orange, purple) pop in the blanket that depicts 6 crayons. The colors are spelled out in the center of each crayon.

This is a simple pattern to knit. Only the shaping of the crayon point, and the center lettered section changes. The rest of the blanket is ‘knit in pattern’ that is established once the bottom border is completed.  Included in the pattern are directions to make a striped hat with the 6 colors of yarn.

The sample shown was knit in Simplicity by Hi Koo – a dk weight yarn.  Its a great yarn to knit with.  The pattern also gives information for knitting in worsted weight yarn.  Both used 200 yards of each color of yarn.  Check out the store page for more details.
