I’m a mid-western farm girl transplanted to the west coast. I learned to knit as a teenager. My first success was my 4-H project shawl for my grandmother that won a second place ribbon at the Indiana State Fair. Then when my daughter was young and all my friends were having babies, I made a lot of baby sweaters. I started knitting again in the early 2000″s when all my nieces, nephews, and family friends were having babies. After following someone else’s reverse stockinette pattern, I decided that I could create my own themes to match the babies I was knitting for. After all that effort, publishing the patterns became a natural next step.
I have now added baby bibs and wash cloths, as well as several adult scarves, spa cloths, and wine cozys to my pattern line. As I welcome more babies into my circle of family and friends, I hope to find inspiration for new designs from their lives and interests.
