This is the more complex of 2 blankets designed for the doting farmer for his beautiful ‘little piggy’. Each row of 3 piglets wander towards the barn door. In two of the rows, the piglets are wandering left, and in the other two rows they wander to the right. What daddy could refuse to cuddle his sweet little ‘piggy’ when she is wrapped in this blanket?
The blanket is knit with 2 strands of DK weight yarn (1600 yds.) on a size 10 circular needle. The gauge is 4 stitches and 5.5 rows per inch for a finished size of 31” x 42”.
A smaller blanket can be made using 1 strand of worsted weight yarn (900 yds.) and a size 8 circular needle. The gauge is 5 stitches and 6.5 rows per inch for a finished size of approximately 25” x 33”.
