This cute and easy to knit yellow ducky blanket is perfect for baby’s first ‘blanky’. It’s small enough for a new born, yet large enough for a toddler to use for afternoon naps.
Each row of the design consists of 5 ducklings swimming on gentle waves. The picture shows rows of ducks swimming to the right and then to the left. Written directions, as well as graphs for both a right facing and a left facing duck, are provided. You can decide which way you want your ducks to swim!
The blanket is knit with 2 strands of DK weight yarn (1600 yds.) on a size10 circular needle. The gauge is 4.5 stitches and 6 rows per inch for a finished blanket size is 30” x 40”.
For a smaller size blanket, using worsted weight yarn (900 yds.) on a size 8 circular needle, the finished size would be approximately 25"x 31".
