This is my ‘shelter in place’ blanket. It brought me comfort to be knitting while staying and home, and there is joy in knowing the recipient of the blanket will be a sweet baby girl.
I always like to try out new stitches in new combinations when designing a pattern. I seem to have a theme of diamond patterns going on some of my more recent patterns. I know not everyone thinks lace is practical for a baby, but this one is so soft and huggable. I countered the lace with a subtle dot stitch for the center to keep you on your toes when knitting.
