Owl Moon Blanket

As some of you know, in addition to my own patterns, I sometimes design for Appalachian Baby Designs, a natural cotton yarn company.  This Owl Moon blanket is the latest one I did for them.  They sell the pattern as a stand alone pattern and also as a kit  which includes all the yarn needed.  The pattern can also be found on Ravelry.

In additions to this pattern, they have many other blanket, sweaters, etc. kits and patterns.

Hi Linda, I’m doing your Owl Moon Baby Blanket, The cast on is 170 stitches, however when I start the pattern it’s 36 stitches for the gold border, 71 stitches for the pattern, and a total of 74 stitches for the silver yarn on either side of the owl pattern – which adds up to 181 stitches, Is this somehting you can help me with?
    Thank you

      Laurie:
I believe you have an incorrect version of the pattern as printed by Appalachian Baby Design. On the owl moon section there should be 37 stitches before the design and 26 stitches after (not 37). This should correct your issue.

I will contact Appalachian Baby Design to double check there printing and have them send you a correct copy of the pattern.
